Business Development Centre Herning & Ikast-Brande
Are you – or do you plan to be – an entrepreneur? Business Development Centre Herning & Ikast-Brande has more than 680 member companies in central Jutland. Among other things, they offer a sounding board, events and professional networking as well as advisory and networking services for entrepreneurs.

Ikast-Brande Municipality offers childcare. The youngest children are offered either day care or nursery. Children aged 2 years 9 months and older are offered a space at a kindergarten.

Free public transport
All of the buses that run within Ikast-Brande Municipality are free to users. Buses run according to the school year and remain in garages during the school holidays. Timetables can be downloaded from the municipality’s website. You must pay for public transport on regional routes to major cities in other municipalities.

The municipality’s six libraries are open with or without staff. Find opening hours, events and inspiration on the library website. You can also find E-books & media with free access to electronic reference works, international newspapers, e-books and other items here. To use it, you must be a resident of the municipality and registered as a user at one of the libraries.

Waste and recycling
There are four recycling centres in Ikast-Brande Municipality. Domestic waste is sorted in green and grey. The waste is collected every 14 days and payment is by weight. This ensures a high recycling rate.
